About the Role

The Arkley Care Home, part of Bupa, is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to take on the vital role of Deputy Manager. Located at 140 Barnet Rd, Arkley, Barnet EN5 3LJ, this position offers the chance to lead, inspire, and make a profound difference in the lives of residents, while enjoying a fulfilling career with a progressive organisation.

Salary: Up to £54,080 per annum (dependent on experience) Hours: Permanent, 40 hours per week (Monday–Friday) Flexibility: Occasional night visits or weekend work may be required Welcome Bonus: £2,000 (subject to four weeks' service, deductions apply)


Your Key Responsibilities

In this dynamic leadership role, you’ll be pivotal in delivering exceptional care while shaping a positive environment for residents and staff:

  • Oversee and assist with all aspects of nursing care and activities within the care home
  • Work collaboratively with your team to create and update individual care plans
  • Maintain accurate medication records and tissue viability protocols
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels through efficient rota management
  • Provide day-to-day clinical guidance and support, fostering independence, choice, and dignity
  • Build strong relationships with residents, their families, and local partners
  • Represent the care home in the local community to raise its profile
