Clinical Deputy Manager | Mayflower Care Home, Northfleet (DA11) | Up to £68,000 per annum | Full Time | Days
Mayflower Care Home is a 76-bed dementia care home set across three dedicated floors, each tailored to residents' individual needs. The ground floor supports general nursing needs and people living with later-stage dementia. The second floor provides enhanced support for residents who may experience more challenging behaviors, including increased 1:1 time where required. The top floor supports a mix of dementia and mental health needs, caring for residents who may present with more complex, advanced challenges.
This is a hands-on Deputy Manager role where visibility, clinical confidence, and leadership on the floor are essential. You’ll play a key role in stabilizing and improving the service, supporting the team in real time, and working closely with the Home Manager to set and maintain high standards of care.

- Working closely with the Home Manager, you will help bring structure, pace, and accountability into the service.
- You’ll be a consistent presence for the nursing and care teams, coaching, guiding, and stepping in where needed to ensure high-quality care is delivered every day.

What We Are Looking For
You are a confident, credible nurse leader who is comfortable in a large, complex dementia service.
- Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with a valid NMC PIN.
- Minimum 2 to 3 years’ experience in a Deputy Manager or senior clinical role within a 60+ bed care home.
- Strong clinical grounding across core nursing fundamentals.
- Proven experience working within dementia care, including advanced and complex needs.
- A visible, hands-on leadership style; you lead from the front.
- Experience supporting compliance, audits, and improving standards within a service.
- Calm under pressure, clear in your approach, and able to build trust quickly.
