Clinical Deputy Manager

Senior Staff Nurse (Bletchley House)

Responsibilities & Accountability

  • Clinical Supervision

    • Provide clinical supervision to the Registered Nurse (RN) team to ensure they maintain the competencies needed to meet the needs of residents.
    • Act as a Shift Team Leader, offering overall supervision and staff development for care team members.
  • Training & Role Modelling

    • Contribute to the training of care and other staff by demonstrating high professional standards at all times.
  • Mandatory Training & Development

    • Actively participate in personal and professional development opportunities, including mandatory training as required.

  • Quality & Compliance

    • Ensure Gold Care standards and systems are effectively operated, leading to positive resident outcomes.
    • Conduct monitoring, audits, and reviews, taking corrective action when necessary.
  • Leadership & Professionalism

    • Maintain high professional standards and leadership, adhering to relevant professional memberships.
    • Assist the Home Manager with:
      • Formal supervision and appraisals (in line with company policy)
      • Informal performance assessments to guarantee consistently high standards.
  • Policy Adherence & Compliance

    • Implement and adhere to Gold Care’s policies and procedures, as well as legal requirements and codes of practice.
  • Staff Management & Recruitment

    • Assist in effective recruitment, performance management, and staff deployment to deliver high-quality care outcomes.
  • Facilities & Maintenance Oversight

    • Liaise with and oversee maintenance contractors and ensure the upkeep of property, plant, and equipment.

    • Promote Gold Care through effective communication with:
      • Residents, families, medical/social care professionals
      • Regulators, local community, and stakeholders
