Clinical Deputy Manager – Small Elderly Nursing Home

Location: Lancing, West Sussex
Salary: up to £65,000 per annum
Qualification: RGN or RMN Required (Active NMC Pin - good general nursing skills essential)

Compass Associates are proud to be working in partnership with a reputable elderly nursing home provider, who are seeking an experienced Clinical Lead or Deputy Manager to join the leadership team at one of their well-established services just outside of Lancing.

This small to medium sized home provides residential, nursing and dementia care to older adults and has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, person-centred care. The service benefits from strong staffing levels, minimal agency usage and a supportive senior management team, making it an excellent opportunity for a Clinical Lead/Deputy Manager looking for their next challenge.

This role would suit an existing Clinical Lead or Deputy Manager looking to progress their career within a well-supported environment.

The Role

As Clinical Lead, you will:

  • Support the Home Manager and wider leadership team in the day-to-day running of the home
  • Provide clinical leadership across nursing and care teams
  • Lead, mentor and develop nursing staff to maintain high standards of care
  • Support clinical governance, audits, care planning and compliance processes
  • Ensure residents receive safe, effective and person-centred care at all times
  • Act as a positive role model, promoting best practice throughout the service
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to achieve excellent outcomes for residents

Candidate Requirements

To be considered, you must have:

  • RGN or RMN qualification with an active NMC pin
  • Previous experience working within a nursing home environment
  • Strong clinical knowledge of elderly care and dementia nursing
  • Leadership experience as a Clinical Lead, Deputy Manager or similar role
  • Excellent communication, organisational and people management skills
  • A genuine passion for delivering outstanding care to older adults
  • The ability to lead by example and support the development of clinical teams
