Clinical Deputy Manager
Clinical Deputy Manager (RGN/RMN) – Newton Mearns
Location: Newton Mearns, East Renfrewshire Care Setting: Luxury 67-bed facility offering Residential, Nursing, Dementia, Respite & Palliative Care Contract Type: Fixed-term Salary: £25.00 per hour Hours per Week: 40 (combined on-floor and supernumerary shifts) Benefits:

About the Role
The Clinical Deputy Manager is a senior leadership position within our esteemed care home. You will play a critical role in ensuring clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and high-quality care delivery, supporting the Home Manager in oversight and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Oversight & Quality Assurance
- Lead clinical governance, ensuring robust care planning, medication management, and risk mitigation
- Support audits and inspections, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., Care Inspectorate, CQC)
- Champion continuous improvement, implementing best practices and mitigating risks

Leadership & Team Development
- Provide visible, hands-on leadership to nursing and care teams
- Mentor and develop staff, fostering professional growth in a supportive environment
- Act as Home Manager representative when required, overseeing operations and making informed decisions
Resident & Staff Focus
- Ensure care remains safe, effective, and person-centred
- Monitor performance and address concerns professionally and compassionately
What We Are Looking For
- Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with a valid NMC PIN
- Proven experience in a care setting, with a strong clinical background
- Demonstrable leadership and team management expertise
- Experience in clinical governance, audits, and compliance processes
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
- A compassionate, professional, and resident-focused approach
