Clinical Director or Head Veterinary Surgeon – Newcastle, North East England
Are you a Clinical Director, Head Veterinary Surgeon, or a Senior Veterinary Surgeon looking for the next step in your career? We’re looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join us as our new Clinical Director or Head Veterinary Surgeon at Firstvets Group, based in Newcastle.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:
- Champion, motivate, and align the clinical team to uphold unparalleled standards of patient and client care.
- Act as a role model in upholding RCVS guidelines and practice-wide efficacy.

Clinical & Operational Excellence:
- A hands-on surgical/medicine/emergency care provider, ensuring every case meets peak diagnostic outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with the Practice Manager on continuity improvement, service expansion, and process optimisation.

Team Management: Competency assessments & support, salary negotiations, and rota planning to add operational efficiency. Foster compassionate case-clarity communication to strengthen veterinary-client bonds.

Drive Forward-Thinking: Incorporate revolutionary medical/surgical techniques, ensuring practices stay at the cutting edge of veterinary care.

Corporate Growth Stewardship: Engage in strategic financial projects (budgets, spending plans) to enhance client retention and inefficiency elimination.
