Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Fellow in General Ophthalmology, cataract and Urgent care. The post will be suitable for an experienced clinical fellow looking to expand their skills with an exciting and varied timetable both in Outpatient and surgical sessions.
The role will give the successful applicant the opportunity to gain experience in a world-renowned teaching hospital.
Main duties
The post holder will be expected to gain experience in general and emergency ophthalmology covering comprehensive training topics in conditions ranging from oculoplastics, cornea, neuro-ophthalmology, medical retina, cataract, uveitis, and paediatrics. At the end of the fellowship, the post-holder will be able to independently diagnose and manage the majority of emergency eye conditions.

- Diagnosis and management of in/outpatients
- Management of urgent cases presenting at any time during the week.
- Supervision of junior medical staff and participation in informal and formal teaching.
