Clinical Fellow (Registrar) in Trauma & Orthopaedics
Fixed term contract for 12 months
This post is one of 14 Registrars working in Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust Orthopaedic Directorate at Darent Valley Hospital, Dartford.
The successful candidates will form part of a team consisting of the 12 Consultants backed up by Speciality Doctors, Trust Grade Doctors and Specialty Registrars, appointed on the KSS Regional Training Programme. There are 7 FY2/CT trust grade junior doctors and 3 FY2 deanery junior doctors as part of the team supporting the team.
This post is important to the Trust to ensure the continuation of our excellent orthopaedic service and to meet the new QMS workload, enhance new developments and to achieve the 18-weeks target. There will be ample opportunities for you to develop your clinical experience in Trauma & Orthopaedics.
The post holder will be committed to support the Orthopaedic Consultants to meet the increasing workload, enhance new developments, undertake research & audits and support current orthopaedic service agenda. The post holder will take part in routine clinics, daily ward rounds, audit, trauma meeting and theatre sessions. There will be a requirement for the post holder to undertake duties at our QMS site.
