Job Description

About the Role

This post is best suited to a trainee wishing to gain specialist surgical experience in stone surgery & Lithotripsy.

The post holder will participate in a 1:14 on call rota and will be responsible for the day-to-day management of ward patients.

The successful candidate will be expected to participate in the service activities in the department.

Clinical Experience

The successful candidate will be expected to participate in the service activities in the department.

Research

  • ½ day dedicated research session is provided for all fellows.
  • There are several ongoing research projects and fellows are expected to participate in these projects.
  • Fellows are expected to successfully publish and undertake at least one audit project during their training.

Teaching

  • The Bristol Urological Institute has an active teaching programme.
  • Fellows and Registrars are expected to actively participate in this activity.
  • The post holder will be available to undertake teaching sessions for medical students and junior doctors as required.
  • In certain circumstances, you may be required to cover a colleague’s clinical duties in order that they may deliver teaching sessions.
