Exciting Opportunity in Community EPR ICT Team

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Community EPR ICT Team to support the Family Health Division implementing a new EPR across the Community Children's services in Coventry and Warwickshire. Clinical expertise is required to create service structures, develop the electronic documents, templates, letters, etc., and support the implementation and ongoing development of this EPR.

You will join a team of 3.6wte ICT Clinical Leads responsible for the adult and children's community EPR and will work closely with the configuration and ICT training teams.

Training on the system will be provided with support & leadership from the Community EPR ICT project team.

Initially, the focus will be on the implementation of the community EPR in Community Children's Services (Health Visiting, Family Nurse Partnership, School Nursing, Be Active Be Healthy, Community Paediatricians, Community Children's Nurses, Children in Care, Children's Therapies) but there will be a requirement to be involved in developments and to support business as usual for the adult community teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide clinical and change leadership needed to implement the new Children's EMIS EPR system supporting delivery of the Community model within the Family Health Division.
  • To provide clinical and change leadership needed to develop and maintain the children's and adults EMIS EPR systems.
  • To ensure operational reporting requirements are met by the EPR system.
  • To re-design business processes in association with System users, EMIS product consultants, and the Trust's IT specialists, taking responsibility for any clinical safety impacts.
  • To undertake all tasks needed for a successful IT system implementation including configuration, testing, development, and delivery of both training and user support.
  • To ensure that effective communication takes place between ICT and business users within the Trust.

Requirements

  • Community clinical experience (adult or children) is essential with an understanding of how electronic systems can be used to support staff care for patients.
  • Experience of managing change is desirable along with a passion for making a difference to the way staff & systems work together.
