Clinical Innovation Lead
Location: UK Public Sector Healthcare Team
We are seeking a Clinical Innovation Lead to join our UK Public Sector Healthcare Team, focused on shaping and winning longer-term strategic pursuits across the NHS and wider UK health system.
This role sits at the intersection of clinical domain expertise and cloud technology, requiring the ability to engage credibly with senior clinical and digital leaders (CIOs, CMIOs, CCIOs) to identify opportunities where Amazon Web Services (AWS) can deliver measurable patient outcomes.
The successful candidate will:
- Own a portfolio of complex, multi-year pursuits
- Work closely with partners, solution architects, and specialist teams
- Develop compelling business cases
- Navigate NHS procurement frameworks
- Convert pipeline into revenue
This is a role for someone who:
- Thrives in ambiguity
- Builds conviction around emerging opportunities (e.g., AI-enabled clinical pathways, genomics, population health)
- Demonstrates strategic patience
- Nurtures deals over 12-18+ month cycles
- Maintains commercial rigor and pipeline discipline

Develop compelling business cases
- Translate clinical challenges into cloud-enabled solutions with quantifiable outcomes (e.g., patient throughput, waiting list reduction, diagnostic accuracy)
- Work with:

- Collaborate with specialist NHS partners to co-develop propositions

- Act as an internal evangelist for nascent opportunity areas, such as:
- Agentic AI for clinical triage

- Connect AWS service roadmaps to real-world clinical need

A Day in the Life
You’re not managing steady-state accounts or running transactional sales cycles. Instead, you’re operating at the frontier of healthcare and technology:
- Shaping opportunities that don’t yet exist
- Earning clinical credibility by establishing trust with Chief Clinical Information Officers (CMIOs)
- Crafting business cases that pass NHS scrutiny
- Maintaining strategic patience over longer pursuits while competitors pursue quick wins

Qualifications & Skills
Basic:
- Experience in understanding business and end-customer needs, and translating them into right solutions
- Clinically trained or experience working in healthcare environments
Preferred:
- Knowledge of:

- Different programming languages
