Following an exciting rebrand and the recent addition of new partner Sammy alongside Tizzy, we are entering a new phase of growth and are looking for an experienced Clinical Lead Veterinary Surgeon to help shape the future of our locally owned practice in Rhyl.

This is a key leadership role for a confident, experienced vet who wants genuine influence over clinical standards, team development, and the direction of a growing practice.

  • You will join the practice at an exciting time as we are growing the practice due to the support of our loyal clients
  • We are looking for an experienced vet who is ready to make their mark on the practice, help us grow and offer excellent levels of care to even more of our local community and their pets
  • Our partners Tizzy & Sammy are passionate about investing in the practice, the team and the local community.
  • We have undergone a recent rebrand
  • The role is full time and will include 1 in 4 Saturdays
  • You will join a lovely, well established and long-standing team who believe in supporting each other and having fun with regular practice funded social events throughout the year allowing you to unwind
  • Join a practice that really cares and have set up a giving circle to support local charities
  • You will be supported by an experienced clinical team, smart appointment scheduling and an in-house laboratory, giving you everything you need to provide excellent patient care.
  • Fantastic salary paying up to £80,000 FTE and dependant on experience
  • 12 month fixed term contract with the potential to progress into a permanent contract.

About Us

Our practice is a small, friendly practice that is run locally by the owners Tizzy and Sammy along with them you will be supported by 3 experienced vets, 3 RVNs, 1 SVN, 1 VCA and all our wonderful support colleagues.

The role:

As Clinical Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the clinical direction of the practice. Alongside a varied first-opinion caseload, you will take responsibility for maintaining and developing clinical standards, supporting case discussions, and leading on best practice across the team.

  • Lead and support the clinical team, including vets and RVNs
  • Drive clinical standards, protocols, and continuous improvement
  • Support mentoring and development of junior clinicians
  • Contribute to clinical meetings, audits, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Help shape the future growth and direction of the practice alongside the partners
  • Maintain a balanced clinical workload with dedicated time for leadership responsibilities
