An exciting opportunity to work within an innovative and friendly SET CAMHS Eating Disorder Service
We are looking for an compassionate, skilled and experienced Psychologist or Cognitive Behaviour Therapist to join our multi disciplinary team and support the development and implementation of a range of NICE concordant interventions for the SET CAMHS Eating Disorder Core Pathway and Day Service.
The post holder will work with the Band 8b Principal Clinical lead to help support the delivery of psychological support and share clinical oversight across the service. They will be responsible for assessment, treatment and outcome measurement and provide Line and Clinical Supervision to staff as well as development. The post holder would require a Professional registration (HCPC/UKCP/BABCP/AFT) and/or accreditation.
This post would suit clinicians with experience working with young people who present with mental health disorders, adapting support for young people with neurodevelopment issues and working with the wider systems including education, social care, Acute Hospital, Psychiatric Hospitals and family/carers.
Main Duties
- To provide an efficient, effective, comprehensive and specialist psychological service for children and adolescents with emotional and mental health problems, their carers/parents and families.
- To contribute to Multi-Disciplinary assessment and treatment of children and adolescents with emotional and mental health problems, their carers/parents and families.
- To undertake a range of highly specialist clinical work, urgent assessment work, parenting support and specialist cases.
- To provide extensive expert supervision and consultation on SET CAMHS cases to other multi-disciplinary staff within SET CAMHS, including junior medical staff.
- To contribute to audit and research.
- To actively engage in treatment and outcome monitoring, including the use of normed measures associated with CYP-IAPT.
- To work in clinical practice, making use of supervision, within the overall framework SET CAMHS and the Trust’s policies and procedures.

You would have experience of supervising and managing others. You would also have a keen interest in developing innovative strategies to support young people and their families.

Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers, and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Goodmayes Hospital.
