Role Description
The Clinical Lead in the Lincolnshire Public Health Team is responsible for providing clinical leadership to public health initiatives, services, and programmes across the county. Day-to-day tasks include:
- Overseeing clinical governance
- Guiding evidence-based practice
- Contributing to the design and evaluation of public health interventions
- Supporting the development of clinical pathways and policies

The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, local health partners, and community stakeholders to improve population health outcomes and reduce health inequalities. The Clinical Lead will also:

- Supervise and mentor clinical staff
- Contribute to service audits and research activities
- Support training and professional development within the team
This is a full-time hybrid role, based in Lincoln with flexibility for some work from home.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated Team Leadership skills, including the ability to motivate, support, and manage multidisciplinary clinical and public health teams.
- Strong Clinical Operations experience, with a background in managing clinical services, governance, and quality improvement in a public health or healthcare setting.
- Experience in Research and Clinical Trials, including interpreting evidence, contributing to studies, and applying research findings to practice and policy.
- Proven Training skills, with experience designing and delivering clinical or public health education, mentoring, and supporting professional development.
- Relevant professional clinical registration (e.g., medical, nursing, or allied health professional) and significant post-qualification experience in public health or related fields.
- Advanced understanding of public health principles, health protection, health promotion, and population health management.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across organizations.
- Postgraduate qualification in Public Health, Health Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience, is highly desirable.
