Job Overview

This is a new role within CAMHS and an opportunity to drive forward change and effective leadership.

Main Duties of the Role

  • To provide clinical leadership, support, and supervision to clinical staff.
  • To work as an integral part of the CAMHS Service which will include carrying a small complex caseload.
  • To participate in the extended working hours as required by the needs of the service.
  • To provide clinical leadership and supervision to the team.
  • To maintain consistency and quality of care for all service users under the care of CAMHS and support effective and timely discharge.
  • To support safe, efficient, and effective high-quality transitions in and out of CAMHS.
  • To ensure the team works in a collaborative manner with other agencies and partnerships across the service.
  • To ensure that clinical standards are monitored and evaluated, and ensure both they and the team provide care of the highest quality to patients.
  • To be a visible and proactive clinical leader and role model within the multidisciplinary team and actively participate in the delivery of clinical issues, including clinical risk assessment.
  • To support the service area in achieving clinical governance objectives by assisting in individual service reviews, ensuring action plans are formulated, and best practice is shared.
