Clinical Lead in Cancer Menopause

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a clinical lead in the specialty of Cancer Menopause to provide Direct care 1PA Programmed Activity per week to:

  • Provide high quality, safe and caring health and care services for patients experiencing menopause symptoms due to cancer treatment and to lead collectively, with partners, to deliver system wide service.
  • Develop resources and training to support the Trust clinical cancer teams and others in management of menopause symptoms from cancer treatment.
  • Improve services within available resources.
  • Promote innovation, quality improvement via research and audit.
  • Create opportunities by working with new partners.

Purpose of the Service

  • Provide a specialised clinic and/or advice and guidance, education and training to the clinical teams and others in menopause management and where required provide clinics.
  • Ensure the advice and resources in menopause management are fit for purpose to provide a safe and effective service in the Trust.
  • Work with existing services in providing care and advice for patients experiencing menopausal symptoms in line with regional and national guidance.
  • Service development within the specialty.
  • Ensure that national and regional standards are met.
  • Ensure that interventions are timely for patients.
  • Work with cancer teams to ensure that interface services are fit for purpose.
