Position Overview
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Clinical Lead for the North of Scotland Child & Adolescent Neurology Network (NeSCANN).
Role Details
- Position: Clinical Lead
- Location: North of Scotland
- Duration: 1 PA or 4 hours per week until end March 2027, where continuation will be reviewed.

About the Network
The network supports children and adolescents with neurological conditions across 6 Health Board areas in the North of Scotland region. Multi-disciplinary teams of staff are based in Grampian, Highland, Orkney, Shetland, Tayside, and Western Isles and work closely with local medical, nursing, and AHP professionals to provide inpatient services, out-patient clinics, investigations, and treatments.
Key Responsibilities
- Work across traditional Health Board boundaries and organisations to progress the NeSCANN services in the North of Scotland region.
- Ensure services are equitable and accessible for paediatric patients.
- Have extensive clinical knowledge, skills, and experience in the provision of neurological care to children and adolescents.
- Demonstrate leadership skills required to motivate, inspire, and drive improvements in service provision through change management within a complex regional environment.

Qualifications and Experience
- Applicants should have extensive clinical knowledge, skills, and experience in the provision of neurological care to children and adolescents.
- Must have the leadership skills required to motivate, inspire, and drive improvements in service provision through change management within a complex regional environment.
- Applications are welcome from clinical professionals currently operating at a senior level within the NHS in the North of Scotland.
