Clinical Lead Paediatric Occupational Therapist
About the Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Lead Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our integrated [Children’s Therapies]( Children’s Therapies) service based at the Child Development Centre, Airedale General Hospital.
You will deliver highly specialist clinical activity and provide clinical leadership to a small paediatric OT team, working collaboratively with:
- The Team Lead for Paediatric OT / PT
- The Therapy Services Manager
- Speech and Language Therapists
- Health and educational professionals
- The therapy support team
The service provides uni-professional and multidisciplinary occupational therapy for children and young people up to 19 years of age.
Key responsibilities include:
- Contributing to quality improvement, planning and implementation of service developments
- Partnering with the Occupational Therapy Professional Lead, internal/ external health and education colleagues, and across the Bradford and Craven Health and Care partnership and regional forums
- Delivering highly specialist OT assessments and interventions as an autonomous practitioner
- Offering clinical leadership, supervision and operational support to:
- The paediatric OT team leader
- The Children’s Therapies Service Manager
- Other stakeholders for service development, statutory responsibilities and operational activities (local, regional and system-wide)

About the Organisation Children’s Therapies operates within the Therapies and Dietetics Directorate and enjoys close alignment with:
- Trust-wide OT Professional Lead & Chief AHP
- Other children’s services across Bradford and Craven, West Yorkshire
