Clinical Lead Registered Veterinary Nurse
RVG Stevenage (Great Ashby Vets)
Location: Stevenage, Hert
Practice Type: First Opinion Small Animal, 24-hour Hospital
Competitive Salary: £30,000 - £34,000 depending on experience
Contract: Permanent | 40 hours across 4 days with 1 in 6 Saturdays / Sundays (Weekend work) with a share of bank holidays.
You can also work a 5 day week if this is more suitable / Hours and Days to be discussed at interview and negotiated accordingly.
Weekend hours worked will be allocated back to you. 1 day prior to the weekend and 1 day after. (We will be open to applications from Part Time candidates up to 40 hours).

Life at RVG Stevenage (Great Ashby)
Great Ashby Vets is a busy, first opinion, 24-hour Hospital with a passionate team of vets, nurses, VCAs, and receptionists. Our facilities include digital x-ray, dental x-ray, lap spay equipment, multiparameters, and ultrasound, along with a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon who visits the practice for orthopaedic procedures, giving you the tools you need to deliver outstanding care.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and providing clinical support for a team of Veterinary Care Assistants and Student Veterinary Nurses
- Conducting 1-2-1s and appraisals
- Delivering inpatient care and running nurse clinics / consults.
- Championing continuous improvement across the practice and promoting the highest standard of animal care.
About You
We're looking for a dedicated Clinical Registered Lead Veterinary Nurse to join our Stevenage team. Our ideal candidate will be a minimum of 2 years qualified. Leadership experience is desirable. You will:
- Be passionate about delivering exceptional care to both our patients and their owners every day.
- Support the outcome of patients care in all aspects of clinical work as part of the team.
- Ensure Quality is maintained by keeping our practice in excellent condition—ensuring quality of care and the best possible outcomes for every patient.

- Contribute to creating a positive environment, fostering a friendly, welcoming and supportive team culture.
- Communicate with confidence, use your exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal—to build strong, lasting relationships with colleagues, clients, and the pets they love.
