Clinical Negligence Solicitor
# Clinical Negligence Solicitor – Birmingham (Salary up to £75,000 + benefits + bonus)
Harness your expertise within a forward-thinking Birmingham law firm as we expand our Clinical Negligence department. An ideal candidate will bring specialist leadership, insight into high-value claims, and dedication to delivering first-class client care.
About the Role
Seeking an experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitor to drive growth, manage clients, and deepen expertise in complex cases. This role offers the perfect balance of personal account responsibility + exposure to senior litigation, supported by a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead your own high-profile Clinical Negligence caseloads, from intake through to settlement or trial.
- Assist Partners in managing pre-litigation and litigating matters, including drafts of settlement proposals, negotiations, and procedural strategies.
- Conduct liability assessments + adjudicate expert medical evidence to inform case cases strategy.
- Partner with medical report writers + opinion formers to build compelling expert reports.
- Draft Letters of Claim and other core litigation documentation in compliance with Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) + the Clinical Negligence Pre-Action Protocol.
- Provide paper quantum reviews + initiate dialogue on ideal claims resolutions.
- Develop strong working relationships with claimant groups + medical consultants.
- Showcase excellence in case compliance, strict adherence to KPIs, and ongoing client follow-up.

About You

Essential:
- Clinical Negligence Solicitor / Chartered Legal Executive with hands-on experience (cross-dreaming/claims solid welcomes).
- Deep understanding of the Pre-Action Protocol and action-based procedural deadlines.
- Proficiency in CPR, litigated judging processes, and expert report analysis.
- Proven track record in high-value claims, with clear leadership. Desired familiarity with:
- Indemnity finest medicines personal injury.
- Health technology/technical defense work; utility risks in AI or methodology.
- Experience mentoring/PT team legale training desirable enhancing competitiveness.
- Dependable organisation, acute time management under pressure, and adherence to work plans.

Effective Communication Skills:
- Year’s disparate, audit how maintain robust frameworks to avoid staff cow yelling;
- Persuasion and variable empathy to engage us; neutral bargaining involves clients

Team Work & Collaboration: Ability to work both in autonomy (console full role sync) while contributing input in Parvoz teams.
