Clinical Negligence Solicitor - Birmingham - Up to £80,000
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join a specialist healthcare litigation team in Birmingham.
The Clinical Negligence Solicitor will act for major healthcare organisations and public sector bodies on complex, high-value defendant clinical negligence matters in Birmingham, managing their own caseload while working closely with senior lawyers and healthcare professionals.
The Role:
- Manage a caseload of defendant clinical negligence claims, including pre-litigated and litigated matters
- Act on behalf of healthcare organisations and public sector bodies
- Conduct detailed investigations to assess liability and quantum
- Draft key legal documents including pleadings, reports and correspondence
- Liaise with clients, claimants, counsel, experts and other stakeholders
- Maintain accurate case records, key dates and action plans
- Contribute to client development, networking and training initiatives
- Ensure compliance with client protocols, regulatory requirements and internal procedures

About You:
- Qualified Solicitor with 5+ years PQE in clinical negligence or healthcare litigation
- Experience handling defendant clinical negligence claims (claimant experience also considered)
- Strong knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules and litigation processes
- Ability to manage a varied caseload of complex and high-value matters
- Strong analytical and investigative skills when reviewing medical evidence
- Excellent organisation and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage effectively with clients, counsel, experts and stakeholders
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
