Clinical Nurse Specialist - u14 Team | Norfolk and Suffolk Foundation Trust
About the Role
Come and join the Central u14 Team as a Clinical Nurse Specialist.
In our service, we support young people (aged 0–14 years) experiencing moderate to severe mental health difficulties. Our team consists of enthusiastic and skilled staff who are motivated to deliver the support these young people—and their families and carers—need. We are committed to creating positive changes within the service, including reducing waiting lists and fostering innovative practice.

We offer an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Specialist to work within our diverse, multi-disciplinary team (MDT). Successful applicants will act as a team leader, providing guidance and inspiration while delivering specialist clinical interventions for 0–14-year-olds and making a lasting impact.

Key Responsibilities
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will:
- Deliver specialist clinical interventions to young people, their families, and loved ones.
- Act as a non-medical prescriber, prescribing as appropriate.
- Offer support, mentorship, and informal training to your colleagues.
- Contribute to multi-disciplinary team (MDT) meetings.
- Undertake additional clinical tasks as needed.
- Occasionally deputise for the Community Team Manager.
Key Requirements
To thrive in this role, you must have:
- A qualified nursing background.
- Training and certification as a non-medical prescriber.
- significant experience in mental health nursing, particularly with young people and families.
