Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology Clinical Nurse Specialist
We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our dedicated team. This is a unique and rewarding role where you will have the chance to make a real and lasting difference to the lives of children and young people within a growing and highly specialised service.
As a key member of the team, you will combine clinical expertise with compassionate care, supporting patients and families through sensitive and often complex health journeys. You will play a central role in delivering personalised, high-quality care, helping young people to better understand and manage their health in a supportive and empowering environment.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team while also developing your own autonomous practice.
- Contribute to shaping and advancing the service, bringing innovation, enthusiasm, and a commitment to excellence in patient care.
- Manage a defined caseload, ensuring effective coordination of care across multidisciplinary teams and services.
- Independently lead nurse-led clinics, including dilator and menstrual management services, undertaking comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Provide tailored education and guidance, enabling young people to understand their condition and actively participate in their care.
- Deliver sensitive information in an age-appropriate and accessible manner, while providing emotional support and reassurance.
- Act as an advocate, ensuring that care is personalised and responsive to individual needs, including safeguarding considerations where appropriate.
- Contribute to service improvement initiatives, support clinical governance requirements, and maintain accurate documentation.
