Job Overview
The Lung Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) plays a vital role within the multidisciplinary Lung Cancer Team, delivering expert clinical care, education, and holistic support to patients diagnosed with lung cancer.
This position focuses on providing high-quality, patient-centred care, ensuring that individuals and their families are supported throughout their cancer journey. The CNS is responsible for coordinating and managing complex care needs across all stages of the patient pathway — from diagnosis, through treatment, and into survivorship or palliative care where appropriate.
Working collaboratively with the wider healthcare team, the CNS acts as a key point of contact, advocate, and specialist resource, helping to ensure timely access to services, continuity of care, and the best possible patient experience and outcomes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
