Are you an experienced Registered Nurse looking for an exciting opportunity to develop your career within a specialist breast care service?

We are seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate and highly motivated Registered Nurse to join our established Surgical Breast Care Nursing Team.

About the Role

This rewarding role offers the opportunity to work within a specialist multidisciplinary team, providing high-quality care and support to patients throughout their breast care journey. Based at the Laurel Unit, Hospital of St Cross, Rugby, you will play a key role in delivering compassionate, patient-centred care and supporting patients and their families through what can often be a challenging and life-changing experience.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be committed to maintaining the highest standards of clinical practice and delivering an excellent patient experience. Working as part of the Surgical Breast Care Nursing Team, the successful candidate will:

  • Provide specialist nursing care, support and advice to patients with breast cancer.
  • Act as a key worker for patients, ensuring continuity of care throughout diagnosis, treatment and follow-up.
  • Undertake clinical assessments and support patients in managing the physical and psychological impact of their diagnosis and treatment.
  • Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to coordinate and deliver evidence-based care.
  • Provide information, education and emotional support to patients and their families.
  • Contribute to service development, quality improvement initiatives and clinical audit activities.
  • Support and promote health education and patient empowerment.

Application Details

This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday, 0900 - 1700. As cross-site working is required across the Trust, applicants must be able to travel between sites when required.
