Rotational Clinical Pharmacist – Fixed Term/Secondment Post
We are seeking a passionate and motivated clinical pharmacist to join Hywel Dda University Health Board as part of a small, caring team. This is a rotational role with a focus on learning and development across diverse clinical specialties, including the opportunity to undertake prescribing qualification.

This fixed term/secondment post is until 01/07/2028.

About the Role
You will work within a supportive, nurturing team of pharmacists and technicians, gaining valuable experience in a dynamic clinical setting. This role involves:
- Leading responsibility as the Responsible Pharmacist, including Emergency Duty Commitments (on-call duties, weekend and bank holiday rota coverage).
- Working closely with multidisciplinary teams (MDT) to embed digital systems across practice.
- Widening clinical expertise within a rotational model, enabling progression into long-term prescribing and specialist roles within the health board.
Many pharmacists who start their career in rotation progress internally, maintaining prescribing and advancing in fields of choice.
Key Responsibilities
- Rotational clinical pharmacist duties, ensuring close collaboration with pharmacy teams and the broader MDT.
- Develop expertise in a variety of specialties across acute/critical care, community, and hospital-based roles.
- Contribute to improving patient care through active participation in practice implementation and service enhancements.
- Maintain on-call availability as Responsible Pharmacist with rotational bank/weekend commitments.
