Clinical Psychologist

As a Clinical Psychologist you will deliver comprehensive diagnostic assessments for autism and/or ADHD and contribute to appropriate therapeutic interventions. You will work within our highly skilled multi-disciplinary team (MDT), contributing your clinical expertise to assessment, formulation, and diagnostic decision-making. You will use your clinical knowledge and experience to consider differential diagnosis to assist assessments and multidisciplinary decision-making.

What you'll be doing:

  • Conduct comprehensive remote diagnostic assessments for autism and/or ADHD across children, young people and adults by following NICE guidelines, using evidence-based assessment pathways and applying clinical judgement, so that accurate, timely and person-centred diagnoses are achieved.
  • Complete diagnostic assessments using recognised assessment tools and structured interviews by administering and interpreting measures such as ADOS-2, DIVA-5 and ACE+, alongside information gathered with multidisciplinary colleagues, so that diagnostic decisions are evidence-based and clinically robust.
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic reports and clinical formulations by documenting assessment findings clearly, accurately and in line with guidelines and requirements, so that clients, referrers and professionals receive clear, comprehensive and actionable information.
  • Provide diagnostic feedback to clients and families by communicating outcomes with empathy, sensitivity and clarity, answering questions and discussing appropriate next steps, so that individuals feel informed, supported and able to access appropriate ongoing care.
  • Deliver post-diagnostic support where appropriate by providing brief interventions, psychoeducation and recommendations or referrals to relevant services, so that clients are supported beyond diagnosis and can access the most appropriate resources.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team by contributing your clinical expertise alongside colleagues in Psychiatry, Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Specialist Nursing, so that diagnostic decision-making benefits from a holistic, integrated approach.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records by recording assessments, decisions and client interactions in accordance with HCPC standards and organisational policies, so that information remains compliant, accessible and supports safe, high-quality care.
  • Maintain your own professional competence by arranging appropriate clinical supervision and undertaking continuing professional development (CPD) in line with HCPC requirements and professional standards, so that your clinical practice remains safe, current and evidence based.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
