About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a registered Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to play a pivotal role in delivering this new service, as well as planning, evaluating, and contributing to its development.

We are looking for a newly qualified Clinical/Counselling Psychologist at Band 7 level, who is driven, passionate and excited to be part of a strategically important service provision, in line with our programme of Community Mental Health Transformation which is aiming to transform and enhance the way we deliver our mental health services.

The service will employ an innovative model to provide rehabilitative care to people with complex and severe mental health issues and the role will offer the opportunity to make a real difference to people’s lives, including supporting them to engage with activities of daily living and to integrate with their local communities, allowing them to lead meaningful and more independent lives.

The role will offer autonomy, variety, and significant development opportunities, both in leadership and clinical skills.

The Ideal Candidate Will

  • Have some desirable knowledge of working or understanding patients with complex mental health rehabilitative needs
  • Be a registered Clinical/Counselling Psychologist
  • Be able to empathise, be supportive and sensitive to the needs of others, and themselves
  • Be passionate about supporting people to live fulfilling lives independently

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
