Clinical Psychologist – Lead Therapeutic Practice

Shape early intervention. Transform outcomes for children and young people.

Join Brent’s dynamic SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) Outreach Service at an exciting time of transformation, as we bring the vision of the SEND and Alternative Provision Improvement Plan to life. This includes pioneering initiatives like the “Experts at Hand” approach.

This is a unique opportunity to collaborate with a forward-thinking team that prioritises co-production, early intervention, and systemic change, working alongside children, young people, and their families as valued partners.

We are seeking reflective, passionate professionals committed to shaping inclusive, high-quality support across the borough by strengthening capacity, sharing expertise, and ensuring every child with SEND can thrive within their local community.

The Role

We are looking for a senior Clinical Psychologist to lead Brent’s Intervention First Team, providing both clinical and strategic leadership for a multi-disciplinary therapeutic service that supports children and young people.

This high-impact role combines clinical excellence with system-wide influence, enabling you to shape early intervention pathways to prevent escalation to specialist services. You will provide leadership in embedding evidence-based, trauma-informed practice while uplifting the broader therapeutic landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strong clinical leadership, embedding trauma-informed, attachment-sensitive and evidence-based interventions
  • Lead, manage, and develop a multi-professional therapeutic team, fostering a reflective, culture of continuous improvement
  • Deliver high-level psychological assessments, formulations, and specialist interventions for complex clinical cases
  • Oversee service delivery, including case allocation, monitoring, and quality assurance
  • Collaborate across multi-agency environments (education, health, and care), influencing joint decision-making
  • Champion early intervention and psychologically informed practice across the wider system
  • Drive innovation, service development, and improvement using data, feedback, and service user voice
  • Provide training, consultation, and professional guidance to schools and partners

This role offers the chance to shape therapeutic practice at both an operational and strategic level, with lasting impact on children, young people, and their families.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
