About the Role

The Children’s Alternative to Admission Team (CATAT) provide intensive support for service users aged 12 years to 18 years old who are at risk of being admitted to hospital. Their aim is to avoid admission wherever possible. They also provide in-reach into hospitals to facilitate discharge to ensure any admission is as short as possible. They provide a range of multidisciplinary interventions in a variety of locations to best meet the young person and their family/carer’s needs. CATAT provides a service 7 days a week from 8am-8pm. The intervention will be initially offered for 6 weeks after which it will be reviewed by the team. If it is felt that ongoing intervention is still needed CATAT will offer a further 6 weeks and review again. All children under the CATAT service are also open to one of the CAMHS teams in NSFT with the CATAT service working alongside the team to support the young person. CATAT aims to support recovery and lesser restrictive options for young people in the community. The vision that the CATAT team share is: “Working to develop a service that offers the young people in Norfolk and Suffolk the support required to succeed, achieve and recover safely in the community as an alternative to an inpatient psychiatric admission”

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
