Clinical Psychologist - CAMHS Paediatric Neuropsychology
An Exciting Opportunity within NHS Forth Valley’s CAMHS Paediatric Neuropsychology Service
This is a small sub-specialism within the CYP-P Service. This pathway provides neuropsychological assessment, formulation, and intervention for children and young people with a wide range of neurological conditions. The preferred candidate for this post would also be considered for a funded placement on the Clinical Paediatric Neuropsychology MSc or PGDip at UCL (subject to the candidate being successful in applying). Supervision is also available from a Clinical Psychologist with significant training and experience in Paediatric Neuropsychology.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist interested in gaining experience working with a wide range of neuropsychological presentations and contributing to service development.
About NHS Forth Valley
NHS Forth Valley CYP-PS is a well-established service with a responsive and innovative senior management team. The psychology team is organized into sub-specialties with psychological leadership and specialist clinical supervision within each area of expertise. We offer multiple therapeutic modalities including:
- CBT
- IPT
- FBT
- Systemic Family Therapy
- ABA
- EMDR
- Art Therapy
- ACT
We support children and young people aged from 0 to 18 years and their carers/families and offer a range of highly specialist psychological assessments and interventions, which often includes multi-agency work with our partners. We have re-designed the psychological provision at all levels of service provision with the aim of placing the needs of children and young people at the center of the partnerships we establish with families and systems. The post holder will play a key role in offering clinical leadership and in supervising and delivering specialist psychological care in relation to increasing access to psychological interventions locally. There are also good opportunities to get involved in quality improvement.

Requirements
- Post Graduate Doctoral level (or equivalent) degree in Clinical Psychology
- Registered with the HCPC
- Experience of working with children and young people with complex needs
Additional Information
- The duties of this post require the successful candidate to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.

- As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part-time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
