Clinical Psychologist (CYP ASD Service)
Clinical Psychologist – CYP ASD Assessment Specialist
This role involves delivering high-quality Children and Young People (CYP) Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) assessments as part of a clinician-led multidisciplinary team (MDT) pathway, in line with NICE guidelines, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and service requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed developmental assessments using validated tools and integrate multi-informant evidence.
- Provide expert psychological formulations, diagnostic decisions, and high-quality written reports.
- Communicate assessment outcomes sensitively and effectively to families and referrers.
- Support governance, safeguarding, and service improvement initiatives.

Requirements
- Qualified Clinical Psychologist with HCPC registration.
- Experience in neurodevelopmental assessments with children and young people, including MDT contributions.
- Strong report-writing and clinical reasoning skills.
- Desirable:
- ADOS-2 trained
- Experience with dual diagnoses
- Experience in service development

Salary & Location
- £60,000–£70,000 per year (depending on experience).
- In-person role as part of a multidisciplinary team.
