Clinical Psychologist – CYP ASD Assessment Role
This role involves delivering high-quality Children and Young People (CYP) Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) assessments within a multidisciplinary, governed pathway, ensuring strict adherence to NICE guidance and service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting detailed developmental histories, assessments, and formulations using validated tools (e.g., ADOS-2)
- Contributing to multidisciplinary (MDT) discussions and diagnostic decision-making, leveraging expert psychological input
- Producing clear, neurodiversity-affirming reports
- Communicating outcomes sensitively to families and referring professionals
- Supporting safeguarding, governance, and continuous service improvement activities

Requirements
Essential:
- Qualified Clinical Psychologist with HCPC registration
- Experience in neurodevelopmental assessments for children and young people, including MDT contributions
- Strong clinical reasoning and report-writing skills
- Knowledge of safeguarding principles

- ADOS-2 training

- Familiarity with EMIS (medical software system)
This position offers a salary range of £60,000–£70,000 per annum, involving both in-person assessments and administrative duties.
