Clinical Psychologist/Neuropsychologist – HyperAcute Rehabilitation Team (Proof-of-Concept Service)
About the Opportunity
This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join the HyperAcute Rehabilitation service at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust. You will work as a forward-thinking, motivated, and experienced clinical psychologist/neuropsychologist with strong leadership and clinical expertise to help establish a proof-of-concept specialist hyperacute rehabilitation service in a pioneering 12-month pilot.
The Role
- Serve as a key member of a small multidisciplinary team, collaborating with rehabilitation consultants, AHPs, and rehabilitation assistants.
- Develop and deliver highly specialist assessments, evidence-based psychological interventions, and consultancy services for individuals with complex rehabilitation needs, including those with:
- Brain injury
- Neurological conditions
- Provide teaching, training, research, and evaluation in the field of hyperacute rehabilitation.
- Represent the team internally and externally where applicable.
- Act as a valued member of the Psychological Medicine Service, supporting Clinical Health Psychology, Children’s Psychological Medicine, and Psychiatry.

Position Details
- Initially 1 day per week, starting on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
- Based at the John Radcliffe Hospital.
- Leadership and team development will be a core focus to establish sustainable service delivery.
