Clinical Research Physician – Fixed Term (One Year Contract)

About the Role

As a Clinical Research Physician at ICON, you will lead clinical trials, ensuring they are conducted ethically and in compliance with regulatory standards.


What You Will Do

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the design and execution of clinical trial protocols, ensuring strict alignment with scientific and regulatory guidelines.
  • Monitoring patient safety and overseeing clinical trial aspects to ensure compliance with GCP (Good Clinical Practice) standards.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze study data and provide medical insights that guide decision-making.
  • Engaging with investigators and study sites to ensure protocol adherence and facilitate trial success.
  • Contributing to regulatory submissions and clinical study reports.

This is a global role with the possibility of working remotely (with an expectation of 3 days in the office per week).


What You Will Bring

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • A medical degree (MD or equivalent) with relevant experience in clinical research or NHS.
  • Therapeutic expertise in Respiratory and/or Transplant is highly desirable.
  • A deep understanding of clinical trial processes and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong clinical assessment skills and a commitment to patient safety & ethical research practices.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Willingness to Travel

  • Approximately 10% travel required when needed.
