Job summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Clinical Research Physician to join our dynamic Research team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering research, protecting study participants rights & safety, collecting accurate study data, and contributing to the advancement of our organisation's goals.
Starting salary: £50,000 (additional considerations will be made depending on clinical trials experience)
Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, (Monday to Friday with some Saturday working depending on study demands, to be discussed at interview)
Main duties of the job
- Conduct clinical trials under the guidance of Principal Investigators.
- Ensure study participants rights and safety are observed.
- Collaborate with the other members of the research team to ensure commercially successful project implementation.
- Maintain accurate and organised research records.
- Attend Investigators meetings, Site Initiation Visits and other external sponsor meetings as required.
- Review diagnostic and safety laboratory results and ensure appropriate action is taken where appropriate.
- Respond to study data queries in a timely manner.
- Participate in sponsor and regulatory audits as required.
- Maintain an awareness of the Research Department KPIs and contribute positively to meeting these targets.

Based at our Corby Headquarters, our dedicated Clinical Trials Research Unit includes Research Physicians, Nurses, Coordinators, and Administrators. Together, we are growing rapidly as we expand the number and range of trials we deliver. We are also expanding to other sites and will be gaining a mobile research unit to support us with outreach work.

Job responsibilities

Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential
- Medical Doctor (MD) degree or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Full GMC registration.
- Right to work in the UK as a medical doctor.
Desirable
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for clinical trials.
- Additional background in a relevant field of research (e.g., biology, medicine, pharmacology).
- Research GCP trained.
Experience
Desirable
- Previous research experience, preferably in a clinical setting.
- Familiarity with ethical guidelines governing research involving human subjects.
