Purpose of Position
To support the Registered Nurse Manager, Nominated Individual, and the Management team in the day-to-day running of the business.
To promote a caring environment for clients through high standards of professional practice which are conducive to the physical, emotional, social, intellectual, and spiritual needs of the client.
To ensure that each client receives care appropriate to their individual needs.
To implement the requirements of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014.
To adhere to all policies and procedures issued by the company, embedding them into good practice across the organisation.
Principal Responsibilities
- To assist in the day-to-day running of the organisation and to act as the person-in-charge whenever asked to by the Registered Nurse Manager.
- To manage a caseload of clients, taking responsibility for all aspects of their care including daily notes review, auditing, communication with care teams and clients, Risk Assessments, creation and updating of Care Plans.
- To ensure accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation and reporting within the electronic systems in place.
- To visit clients in their own homes to assess and monitor, as deemed appropriate.
- To investigate complaints, take appropriate action and report these to the Management team.
- To safeguard clients from abuse and act immediately to report any suspected abuse, following the organisation’s policies and procedures.
- To support the Management team to maintain ISO and CQC registration and to achieve an Outstanding rating at the next inspection.
- To engage in positive working relationships with GPs, hospitals, local agencies, and the wider multidisciplinary team, demonstrating compassion and effective communication skills.
- To ensure that clients’ privacy, dignity, choice, independence, and safety are actively promoted at all times.
- To conduct staff appraisals and supervisions.
- To collaborate with the bookings team to ensure effective planning and suitable staffing of client cases.
- To coordinate and participate in the orientation and ongoing training of nurses and carers.

- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
- Thorough knowledge of CQC guidelines
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills, and exceptional attention to detail
- Dedication, compassion, and energy
- Reliable, dependable, and a team player who is willing to help others
- The ability to show initiative and to have a positive, can-do attitude
Ideally You Will
- Have experience in private healthcare
- Have experience in the homecare sector
- Have had previous clinical management experience
- Have excellent computer skills
