An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Clinical Ward Sister to join Campion Ward, based at Leamington Hospital - South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust.
About Campion Ward
Campion is a 29 bedded GP led unit, providing holistic patient care to patients requiring a period of recovery and rehabilitation before being discharged home.
Role Requirements
The successful candidate must be flexible, enthusiastic, self-motivated and have a minimum of 2 years’ ward experience. They need to be able to work as part of a team; demonstrating excellent and proactive leadership skills to support and develop staff/students while also maintaining their own clinical skills. We are looking for someone with a great attitude and work ethic who is committed to creating a positive rehabilitation environment where patients are shown care and compassion; optimising patient independence and quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure best patient outcomes based on individual needs.
- Plan a safe discharge once the patient has reached their potential.
- Require excellent communication, problem solving and clinical reasoning skills.
- Contribute to the development of the ward team and support the Ward Manager in the delivery of a consistently high quality and cost effective service.
- Deputise for the Ward Manager as required.
