Clinical Sister/Charge Nurse - Aylesford Unit
Specialist Haematology/Oncology Nurse – Aylesford Unit
Location: Primarily Warwick Hospital (Aylesford Unit), with possible cross-site coverage at Rigby Unit, Stratford Hospital
About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced cancer nurse to take on a specialist nursing role within the A&EHaematology/Oncology service.
This role demands vision, innovation, and the ability to work cross-disciplinary boundaries, driven by a commitment to delivering the highest standards of patient care across:
- Day case
- Outpatient
- Inpatient settings
You will develop your expertise in nurse-led assessment and nurse-led clinics, supporting our team of professionals with a focus on cost-effective and high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities
✔ Work within Aylesford Unit’s Chemotherapy Suite, collaborating with:
- Nurse Consultant – Cancer Services
- Advanced Nurse Practitioners
- Specialist Practitioners
- Unit Manager ✔ Primarily operate Monday to Friday, with flexible arrangements including:
- Evenings
- Weekends
- Bank Holidays (durations may vary based on service demand) ✔ Ensure the delivery of cost-effective yet high-quality patient care through clinical best practice. ✔ Participate in a supportive work environment with opportunities for clinical supervision and professional development.

- Experience required: Proven expertise as a haematology or oncology nurse in cancer care.
