Join our dynamic team supporting our West London Neurosciences Centre.
You will support MDT staff to deliver care to a range of neurology presentations including spinal, progressive neurology, functional neurology, stroke, hypoxic brain damage with diverse presentations including complex physical, cognitive, behavioural and psychological impairment.
You will be supported by our Neurologists and neurosurgeons.
Our neurosurgery services at CXH site manage brain tumours, sub-arachnoid haemorrhage, stroke and normal pressure hydrocephalus. You will be able to develop your speciality skills in this area.
Additional responsibilities include supervision, education, service development and review, and day to day operational duties. You will participate in the 7-day working rotas.
We support continuing personal and professional development through an established performance development review (PDR) system, in-service training and external courses. There are opportunities to undertake formal postgraduate study.

- To be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of own work, including management of patients in your care and undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner.
- To provide comprehensive and specialist therapy assessment and diagnosis for patients with a range of highly complex presentations, by utilising advanced clinical reasoning, evidence-based knowledge, investigative and analytical skills and specialist assessment techniques.
- As a lead member of the department, ensure teaching programmes and clinical education / supervision meet the needs of more junior staff’s education and development to ensure that a specialist knowledge of intervention is acquired at all levels. To develop and conduct local in-service and MDT training.
- Promote a culture of research awareness, research preparedness and activity in the team.
- To take a lead in the development of the specialist clinical area/team and develop objectives and support prioritisation of projects for the team.
- Within the therapy Service, to contribute to overall organisational thinking, planning, evaluation and continuous improvement through active involvement in Quality improvement work.
- To ensure own and direct reports’ Personal Development Plans (PDP) are in line with therapies and trust objectives.
