Role Overview
Based in Manchester, the Clinical Specialist will become the expert in product and anatomical knowledge, have a sound understanding of orthopedic principles, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills to function effectively in this role.
Responsibilities
- Support and Training: Provide consultation, support, and training to surgeons and theatre teams regarding the use of Acumed products before, during, and after surgical procedures. Assist with clinical decision-making at each stage.
- Equipment Management: Ensure surgeons have the correct equipment for patients. Manage hospital accounts in your assigned area, including inventory management tasks such as auditing stock, facilitating stock replenishment, loan kit bookings, and ensuring implants and instruments are ready and accessible.
- KPI Achievement: Achieve all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) set by the line manager and/or Directors in line with business and role demands.
- Case Coverage: Advise on the application of the Acumed portfolio.
- Clinical Guidance: Provide guidance to assist with clinical decisions to both new and existing customers.
- Training: Train theatre staff.
- Compliance: Understand and adhere to hospital and theatre policies.
- Representation: Attend regional symposiums and represent the Acumed brand.
- Inventory Management: Conduct inventory management and audits.
- CRM Records: Keep up-to-date CRM records.
- Flexibility: Work in a flexible manner to support business requirements.
- Teamwork: Work successfully as part of a team.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain all Acumed equipment including laptop, mobile phone, audit equipment, etc.
- Administration: Complete all administration duties in a timely manner.
