We are looking for a clinical support specialist to work alongside our clinical support team on either an employed or freelance basis. You will join the team to provide exceptional technical knowledge and clinical testing support to our global practitioner base around functional and DNA testing.
The role:
The clinical support specialist will sit within a small team, reporting directly to the Head of Clinical Support Team.
You will be required to support practitioners via both email and online support calls. You must be able to discuss and educate practitioners around complex technical and biochemical mechanisms and be comfortable assessing and adjusting your explanations to suit the practitioner's knowledge level with ease. Because we assist our practitioners worldwide you may be required to do some evening calls.

In addition to practitioner support, along with the rest of the team, you will be required to create content about testing and education content to fit with the company's education plan and be comfortable presenting both online and in person. You may be required to attend events both within the UK and globally which will require some working over weekends/evenings.
This role is suitable for a candidate who can work independently as well as part of a team and requires continuous learning and upskilling in regard to DNA and functional testing and the supplement field. It can be a demanding role but exceptionally fulfilling for the right person.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role you will:
- Perform clinical support calls for our global practitioner base to a very high level.
- Monitor and reply to clinical questions on email from practitioners and key individuals and departments within the company.
- Create and proof read content for the marketing and sales team.
- Create clinical educational content in line with the company's educational goals and clinical teams objectives.
- Be available for event attendance as part of the Nordic Team, both in the UK and globally.
- Present to a high technical level both online and in person.

You will have:
- A minimum of a 3 year healthcare qualification in a functional medicine field with biochemistry. Ideally a minimum of a BSc but a diploma will be considered for the correct person.
- Proven experience in clinical practice.
- A working knowledge of functional and genetic testing and their interpretation and application in clinical practice. Particularly stool testing, DUTCH test, Organic acid tests and nutrigenomic testing.
- A love of learning and professional development.
