Clinical Support Worker Opportunity

Are you a compassionate Clinical Support Worker looking for a unique role that's professionally rewarding and makes a real difference? Whether you're already working in the community or looking to bring your transferable care skills into children's community palliative care, we'd love to hear from you. Join our Derian at Home team and help deliver high-quality, individualized care to children and young people with complex and palliative care needs across the community.

About the Role

As part of the care team at Derian House Children’s Hospice, you’ll be part of something truly special — helping ensure no child or family faces life’s hardest moments alone. We care for babies, children, and young people with life-limiting conditions from across the Northwest, supporting families to make the most of every precious moment.

While end-of-life care is a core part of what we do, many of our children and young people are supported by Derian House for many years before this, and that time is used to provide fun, comfort, and lasting memories for the whole family. Our team is small, skilled, and deeply committed, and you’ll play a vital part in delivering exceptional care, predominately out in the community; undertaking respite visits, supporting symptom management and memory-making amongst many other tasks, but also working in-house in our hospice in Chorley.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
