Clinical Teaching Fellow in Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy

Dental Hygiene & Dental Therapy Clinical Teaching Fellow

About the Role

In line with the School of Dentistry’s Student Education strategy, you will:

  • Contribute to, and develop, the teaching, supervision, and assessment of students within the Dental Hygiene and Therapy programme.
  • Engage in integrated teaching across dental disciplines (undergraduate dental students, dental nurses, and dental technicians) alongside the broader dental team.

Key Responsibilities

Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Clinical supervision of students in:
    • Dental Hygiene & Dental Therapy
    • Dental Surgery programmes
  • Active involvement in:
    • Clinical audit
    • Research in Dental Hygiene and Therapy
    • Clinical care provision
  • Delivery of teaching and scholarly work informed by clinical or academic expertise in Dental Hygiene and Therapy
  • Contribution to student education innovations and related scholarship
  • Administration duties (expected for Grade 7 roles)

Flexible Working & Location

  • Open to flexible working arrangements, with successful candidates working Wednesdays and/or Thursdays.
  • Outreach locations:
    • Bradford (Paediatrics)
    • Leeds Main University Campus
    • Beeston (Adult Dentistry)
