Clinical Team Leader Opportunity

Are you a Clinical Team Leader looking to gain experience within a CAMHS setting or registered Mental Health/ Learning Disabilities Nurse looking to develop your career? Seastone Ward, based on Alumhurst road is the working environment for you.

About the Role

As the Clinical Team Leader you will provide innovative, high-quality care to young people aged 13-18 who are suffering from acute mental illness. The ward will offer comprehensive assessments and treatment so Service Users can have shorter stays in hospital. You will help lead the team providing high quality care to young people working in a supportive team to provide individual care to those within the unit in accordance with the integrated care programme approach. We provide in-depth ongoing inductions, invest in personal training programmes and clinical and management supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care to young people aged 13-18 suffering from acute mental illness.
  • Lead the team in providing individual care according to the integrated care programme approach.
  • Attend and participate in ward rounds, clinical case meetings, and CPA reviews.
  • Day-to-day supervision and management of band 5 Tier 4 CAMHS nurses/staff nurses and mental health support workers.

Requirements

  • Make judgements about appropriate models of treatment, often involving highly complex issues and situations.
  • Undertake a Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression course.
  • Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of.

Working Conditions

The Clinical Team Leader role is a full-time post of 37.5 hours per week for a 24-hour service. We would be flexible and welcome part-time applicants of 22.5 hours.

  • Early: 07.00 to 15.00
  • Late: 12.00 to 20.00
  • Long days: 07.00 to 20.00
  • Nights (enhanced pay): 19:30 to 07.30

Benefits

  • Relocation package of up to £10,000 if you are interested in moving to Dorset.
  • £3,000 Recruitment Premium, with a payment of £1,500 upon completion of probation and £1,500 after 12 months in post.
