Clinical Team Leader (CTL) – Cygnet Hospital Harrogate

We are looking for a confident Clinical Team Leader (CTL) who can inspire, support, and oversee the delivery of the very best care.
About the Role
You’ll be working 38.5 hours a week at Cygnet Hospital Harrogate, a long-established mental health hospital that provides an emergency admissions service across two acute wards. The service features:
- A full Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) including:
- Consultant psychiatrists and doctors
- Therapy team comprising group and activities coordinators, nursing therapists
- Access to a range of therapies for all service users
- At least 25 hours of therapy per week for service users
- A seamless pathway from referral to discharge
Responsibilities
Your day-to-day duties include:
- Taking lead responsibility in undertaking regular care audits
- Providing clinical leadership, coaching, and mentoring for service development
- Maintaining excellence through clinical practice development and quality improvement
- Overseeing a planned programme of support, based on Quality and Compliance annual plans
- Acting as an active member of clinical working committees relevant to the role
- Attending all training and engaging in continuous professional development (CPD)
- Ensuring (under NMC guidelines) that individual care plans are complete and maintained
- Administering medicines in compliance with healthcare procedures and Healthcare Commission guidelines

Requirements
Essential:
- An experienced Registered Mental Nursing (RMN) or Registered Nurse in Learning Disabilities (RNLD) with an active Pin Number
- At least two years’ relevant experience
- Ability to maintain documentation, conduct audits, and demonstrate integrity in clinical practice
- Strong understanding of latest nursing practices
- Commitment to patient recovery, effective risk management and reduction
- Compassion, resilience, and a dedication to empowering and supporting service-user independence
Desirable:
- Ability to deputise in a managerial role
- An interest in leadership, research, or assessment
