Primary Function of Position

The Clinical Territory Associate (CTA) will collaborate closely with the Clinical Sales Manager, gaining expertise in the technical, clinical, and sales aspects of our business to:

  • Develop surgical robotics programs in assigned territories.
  • Train as a da Vinci® Surgery technical and sales expert across all primary surgical specialties.
  • Focus on the technical and clinical aspects during Year 1, shifting to sales-related activities in Year 2.
  • Support assigned regions by maximizing utilization of da Vinci® Surgical Systems through product demonstrations, in-services, and sales activities.

Roles & Responsibilities

Case Support

  • Serve as a technical and clinical resource to the surgical team, providing guidance, training, and insights on the da Vinci® Surgical System.

Product Demonstrations / In-Services

  • Lead all technical in-services and OR training sessions for hospital customers, including surgeons and staff.

Selling Activities

  • Contribute to quarterly sales goals by:
    • Conducting behavior change influence strategies (e.g., product demonstrations, OR sales activities, customer training).
    • Collaborating with Clinical Sales Managers to drive adoption.

Customer Support

  • Under management direction, support and coordinate regional sales, marketing, and development events to:
    • Increase system awareness and procedure adoption.
    • Facilitate customer engagement through demonstrations, in-services, and sales outreach.

Administrative Duties

  • Manage daily workflows including:
    • Reporting sales, procedures, and activity outcomes.
    • Submitting expense reports.
    • Completing assigned ISU online modules.

Medical Device Consultant (Post-Training)

  • Provide legal-compliant guidance, support, and education on proper handling of Intuitive medical devices.


Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree (any discipline).
  • 1+ years of sales or leadership experience.
  • Fluent in English (and local language, if applicable).
  • Strong work ethic, ambition, adaptability.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and persuasive communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in team settings.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
