Job Description

Primary Function of Position

The Clinical Territory Associate (CTA) will partner closely with the Clinical Sales Manager. By gaining expertise in technical, clinical, and sales aspects of our business, the CTA will develop surgical robotics programs across assigned surgical specialties and increase utilization of da Vinci® Surgical Systems.

During the first year, focus is on the technical and clinical components of the role. In the second year, responsibilities shift toward sales execution. The CTA will drive product adoption by conducting demonstrations, in-services, and sales activities, supporting installed systems and customer engagement.

Roles and Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities

  • Case Support:

    • Act as a trusted resource for surgical teams, delivering guidance, training, and insights on da Vinci® Surgery use.
  • Product Demonstrations & In-Services:

    • Lead in-depth technical training sessions for customers, including OR staff, surgeons, and other clinical personnel.
  • Selling Activities:

    • Work with the Clinical Sales Manager to influence customer behavior, drive adoption, and contribute to quarterly sales targets through demonstrations, OR activations, and training.
  • Customer Support:

    • Collaborate with regional sales and marketing on events aimed at increasing system awareness and improving procedure adoption.
    • Coordinate product demonstrations and selling activities under management direction.
  • Administrative Responsibilities:

    • Maintain accurate reporting of sales and procedure metrics.
    • Submit expense reports and complete assigned ISU modules via required company systems.
    • Medical Device Consultant (post-training): Provide appropriate guidance, support, and product handling compliance in alignment with legal requirements.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge and Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year of sales experience or one year of leadership experience.
  • Proficiency in English and local language (as required).
  • Strong ambition and work ethic.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and persuasive communication.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
