Clinical Trial Coordinator

Haematology

Temporary Full Time - 3 year Contract

  • Salary Classification: Health Services Manager Level 1 or Registered Nurse Year 1-8
  • Remuneration in accordance with experience: Health Service Manager Level 1 ($46.05 - $61.27 per hour) Registered Nurse ($41.22 - $57.88 per hour)

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Clinical Trial Coordinator to join our diverse, compassionate and dedicated team to provide effective and efficient trial coordination within Haematology Trials within a busy health care setting.

You will be working in a large research team including Clinical Trial Coordinators, Data Managers, Administration Officers, Financial Officer, Laboratory Technicians and IT Systems Manager.

You will be directly communicating with Specialist Haematologists, Hospital Administration Staff, inpatient and outpatient staff and external sponsors and Clinical Research Associates to facilitate trial coordination and trial participant care.

Your main duties will include:

  • Complete and accurate preparation/filing/archiving of correspondence and relevant study documents/manuals
  • Timely scheduling of study procedures/tests to facilitate results are available at study mandated time points
  • Perform comprehensive and accurate assessment of patients (dependent on qualifications)

About You

  • Registered Nurse authorised to practice by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or equivalent tertiary Science qualifications
  • Haematology/extensive general cancer nursing experience or relevant research experience
  • Commitment to improving cancer outcomes through research
  • Demonstrated ability to work proficiently in periods of high demand and activity.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills including development of rapport with patients and families in stressful situations
