About the Role

We are looking for a motivated Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join the Berkshire Traumatic Stress Service (BTSS). BTSS is a specialist service providing assessment and treatment for adults with Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (CPTSD).

Responsibilities

You will provide specialist assessment and psychological therapy for clients of the Berkshire Traumatic Stress Service experiencing symptoms/difficulties consistent with CPTSD. This will involve specialist and expert psychological assessment, formulation and evidence-based treatment. Interventions offered by the service are primarily trauma focused CBT (TF-CBT), EMDR, Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), and Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET), and you will have the opportunity to develop further skills in these areas. We offer phased approaches to treatment with CFT delivered in both group and individual formats, as well as offering advice and consultation on clients’ psychological care to multidisciplinary mental health staff, and other, non-professional carers.

You will be part of a dedicated and friendly team of psychologists and CBT therapists committed to providing the best care for traumatised individuals.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
